There is nothing I enjoy more than designing a piece for a certain dish. This creating process begins with the search for the perfect clay and ends up with thinking about the way the piece will be placed on the table. I love planning the piece while thinking of the way the food will look on it and be eaten from it. Creating tableware involves thinking about the right colorfulness for the different dishes, while paying attention to the dining experience itself. This complex and unique process is what makes it my favorite craft of all.
